Role: Sr. R&D Engr

Location: Irvine, CA - 92606

Duration: 18+ Months

Looking for (Skills):

Senior-level engineer with strong experience in medical device manufacturing and design assurance/quality, capable of supporting late-stage design and process qualification, with flexibility to assist early-phase NPD activities as needed.

Must Have Skills:

Medical Device experience (Class III required)

Manufacturing & Quality experience (Design Assurance / Quality Engineering)

Experience with IQ, OQ, PQ (Installation, Operational & Performance Qualification)

Knowledge of New Product Development (NPD) phases (Phase 1–5)

Experience supporting process qualification and manufacturing readiness

Good to Have Skills:

Manufacturing engineering background

Exposure to early-phase NPD / EHU (Early Human Use) projects

Clean room experience

Minitab

Experience with polymers and/or medical device sheaths

Day-to-Day Activity:

Support late-stage design and commercialization activities

Work closely with Manufacturing and NPD Engineers on process qualification

Identify and resolve issues on the manufacturing floor

Finalize qualification strategies and inspection methods with Quality Control

Support risk management activities for an early-phase NPD project

Approximately 60% desk work / 40% floor support, including occasional clean room support

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required (Engineering preferred, but open to strong non-engineering degrees with relevant experience)
