Hedge Fund QA/Test Engineer - Citrix/VDI/Jira/Powershell/manual testing focus/Contract
As a QA Engineer specializing in Workspace Engineering, your primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of high-quality software and virtual desktop solutions. You will design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and automated scripts for Windows-based environments, Citrix VDI, and related technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute manual and automated tests for Windows-based, Citrix VDI environments, and other workspace engineering solutions.
Perform functional, regression, performance, and security testing to identify and resolve defects across multiple environments.
Validate the functionality and performance of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI) solutions, including Citrix environments, ensuring seamless user experiences.
Test Windows-based build, applications and configurations to ensure compatibility and reliability within workspace solutions.
Work closely with product managers, and workspace engineering teams to understand system requirements, create comprehensive test plans, and ensure clear communication of issues and resolutions.
Identify, document, and track software defects, ensuring thorough communication of issues and their resolutions.
Assist in troubleshooting production issues, including those in Citrix VDI and Windows environments, and replicate customer-reported defects in testing environments.
Validate that workspace solutions meet customer and business requirements by ensuring functionality, performance, and security standards are met.
Monitor application and VDI performance, conducting performance tests to ensure scalability under different load conditions. Validate that Citrix environments and Windows-based systems can handle expected user loads.
Required Skills
Proficiency in software testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks, with a focus on Windows and Citrix environments.
Experience with test automation tools (eg, Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar).
Familiarity with Scripting languages (eg, PowerShell, Python) for test automation in Windows and Citrix environments.
Knowledge of version control systems (eg, Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with performance testing tools and techniques for Citrix VDI and Windows systems.
Central London based - inside IR35 - 5 days a week in the office
