Job Title: Solution Architect
Location: London, Norwich, York or Bristol
Length of Contract: 6 Months minimum
Salary: £75-85k PA

Overview
Our client seeks an experienced Solution Architect to design and implement robust, scalable, and secure technology architectures that align with business objectives and support long-term strategic goals within an M&A environment. The key focus areas include leading the definition of architecture principles, driving cross-functional solutions design discussions, and providing technical leadership and mentorship. The position requires a strong background in data architecture frameworks, expertise with enterprise platforms like AWS and Snowflake, and a focus on improving data maturity, including data quality, modelling, and metadata management.
Responsibilities
Design and implement robust and scalable technology and data architectures aligned with business objectives.
Lead the definition and implementation of architecture principles, standards, and guidelines, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
Lead cross-functional data solution design discussions and influence stakeholders across the organisation.
Conceptualise and deliver data-driven solutions that support key projects and long-term strategic goals.
Lead efforts to improve data maturity, including data quality management and metadata management.
Define and evolve data models, including populating a common data glossary, for migrated data.
Provide technical leadership, mentor junior team members, and support the resolution of complex architectural issues.
Essential Skills & Experience Required
Proven experience in designing and implementing scalable data and technology architectures.
Strong understanding of data architecture frameworks, principles, and patterns.
In-depth knowledge and experience with AWS and Snowflake in enterprise environments.
Experience in data architecture, data modelling, and data management.
Ability to lead cross-functional solution design discussions and influence stakeholders.
Strong leadership and relationship-building skills to collaborate across architecture, management, and governance groups.
A collaborative mindset and experience with mentoring junior team members.
Familiarity with data vault methodologies and reference data management.
