About The Role

As Production Engineer Intern, you will be responsible for facilitating production workshops to share our programming. The SOCAN Foundation is currently seeking post-secondary music production students to join our team to help provide training and coaching to music creators virtually on music production software (Logic or Ableton), assist with programming support of SOCAN Foundation programs such as the Equity X Production program, and some simple marketing support tasks.

What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities

Tutor music creators virtually one-on-one or small group with music production software.
Engage with new technologies and software to explore new ways of creating and producing music
Assist with social media content to help educate music creators about music production.
Provide feedback and advice to the SOCAN Foundation on future programming to support artists in Canada
Attend weekly team meetings with SOCAN Foundation
Other tasks as required.

What You Will Bring / Qualifications & Experience

Currently enrolled in a music program at a Canadian university or college
Have training with music production software (Logic or Ableton)
Comfortable tutoring others in a virtual format on music production software
Knowledge of music theory and experience with music production software
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Open-minded and able to take feedback
Ability to use social media
Organized and Reliable
A portfolio of your music work will be required.
Experience teaching or coaching is an asset.
