Internal Audit Apprenticeship
If you're naturally curious, enjoy analysing information, and want to understand how businesses work from the inside out, our Internal Audit team could be the ideal place to start. Internal Audit plays a critical role in helping Softcat operate safely, efficiently and ethically, working closely with stakeholders across the business to review processes, assess risk and support continuous improvement. You'll learn how to understand business processes, assess potential risks, analyse data and support the delivery of high‑quality audit work.
As an Internal Audit Apprentice, your key responsibilities will be:
Assist in planning and conducting internal audits across different departments
Review business processes to identify risks, ensure compliance and recommend improvements
Gather and analyse data to support audit findings
Document audit results clearly and accurately
Build strong working relationships with colleagues across the organisation
Contribute to the development of action plans and follow‑up activities
Support the Internal Audit team with day‑to‑day coordination and reporting
Develop a deep understanding of how Softcat operates
We'd love you to have
Curious, analytical and eager to understand how things work
Strong attention to detail and comfortable working with data
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
Able to work independently as well as part of a team
Organised, proactive and confident asking questions
Willing to learn new tools, processes and frameworks
Entry Requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSE English & Maths (Level 4/Grade C and above) or A levels, or Level 3 Qualification or relevant experience
An A-Level or Level 3 qualification in a related subject
No previous qualifications (awarded) in any degree/masters/level 4 and above in any discipline
A current and valid document which proves Right to work in the UK
