The role is centred on improving the accuracy, accessibility and control of data used across front‑to‑back business processes, with a particular focus on complex transactional and trade-related workflows.
This position is suited to someone who enjoys navigating data-intensive environments, shaping requirements, influencing key stakeholders and enabling delivery teams to implement high‑quality, scalable solutions.
Purpose of the Role
The Senior Data & Process Analysis Lead will:
Analyse current systems, data flows and operational processes to identify gaps, risks and opportunities.
Develop clear, structured business requirements that support process improvements, data remediation, and technology change.
Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure that proposed solutions are workable, clearly understood and aligned to broader business priorities.
Contribute to project delivery by supporting feasibility reviews, option assessments and solution validation.
Strengthen data governance, controls and transparency across the operating model.
Key Responsibilities
Map and document existing data journeys across multiple systems, identifying inconsistencies and areas requiring remediation or enhancement.
Lead requirements gathering and workshops with technology, product, operations and control teams.
Translate business objectives into structured requirements, including functional specifications, data definitions and process documentation.
You will review and improve data flows that support the lifecycle of complex financial transactions from initiation through to downstream functions.
Support change delivery teams by validating outputs, reviewing test results and ensuring alignment with intended outcomes.
Produce clear reports and updates to inform senior stakeholders of progress, risks, dependencies and impacts.
Contribute to process design, operating model alignment and the creation of future‑state workflows.
Assist with control improvements, including identifying risk points and contributing to the strengthening of governance frameworks.
Ensure analytical outputs reflect broader strategic objectives and regulatory expectations.
Build effective working relationships across technology, operations and business teams to drive end‑to‑end alignment.
Experience & Skills Required
Strong background in business analysis within data‑rich or transaction-heavy environments, ideally within financial services or a similar regulated industry.
Experience analysing system interactions, data structures and cross‑platform data flows.
Ability to produce high‑quality documentation, including process maps, data dictionaries and detailed requirements.
Comfortable working with structured data formats or messaging standards used in financial or operational systems.
Experience engaging stakeholders at various levels and communicating complex topics clearly and confidently.
Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and collaboration tools used in iterative development environments.
Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to break down complex issues and propose logical, well‑supported solutions.
Advantageous: data querying skills (e.g., SQL), exposure to APIs, understanding of operational controls or regulatory reporting processes.
Attributes & Behaviours
Proactive, thorough and highly organised.
Comfortable balancing short‑term delivery pressures with long‑term strategic thinking.
Able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communicator who can translate between technical and non‑technical audiences.
Collaborative working style with the confidence to challenge, influence and guide others.
