Procurement Project Leader

As a Procurement Project Leader, you will drive strategic sourcing, supplier collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts across our Thermo King Trailer platform. This role offers a unique opportunity to influence cost savings, optimize supply chain performance, and work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment committed to operational excellence.

Required Skills

Strong project management and leadership experience managing multiple procurement projects
Expertise in RFx execution, supplier negotiations, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis
Ability to develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business and engineering objectives
Skilled in supplier risk management, tariff mitigation, and global sourcing practices
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills

Nice to Have Skills

Knowledge of lean manufacturing, A3 methodology, and operational excellence tools
Experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems
Background in new product development (NPD) and value analysis/value engineering (VAVE)
International sourcing experience and managing complex cross-functional projects
Familiarity with materials management, supplier development, and quality improvement initiatives

Preferred Education And Experience

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, or related field
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in procurement, engineering, project management, or related areas
Experience with international sourcing and finance considerations is a plus

Other Requirements

Willingness to travel up to 20% to support supplier and project needs
Prior experience working in a global industrial environment preferred
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across functions, facilitate discussions, and manage ambiguity effectively
