About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead/Sr. Salesforce Developer to join our dynamic team in Boston, MA, on a 12+ month contract basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex Salesforce projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive technical excellence in our client engagements. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Salesforce development, a proven track record of leading development teams, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This position is hybrid, requiring a combination of remote work and on-site presence, with a preference for candidates located within Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or New Hampshire.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with at least five years of hands-on Salesforce development experience. A minimum of two years in a senior or lead role is essential, demonstrating leadership capabilities and project management skills. Certifications such as Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II and Salesforce Certified Application Architect are highly preferred. Candidates should have extensive experience with Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce APIs, complemented by knowledge of data modeling, security practices, and integration techniques. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, version control systems like Git, and CI/CD pipelines is required to ensure efficient development workflows.
Responsibilities
The Lead/Sr. Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing scalable Salesforce solutions aligned with client needs and industry best practices. Key responsibilities include leading the technical design and development efforts, collaborating with solution integrators to ensure seamless integration, and mentoring junior team members to uphold coding standards and best practices. The role involves developing custom applications, automations, and integrations using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and other Salesforce technologies. The developer will design data models, workflows, and process automation tools such as process builders and Lightning flows to streamline business processes.
Additional duties include strategizing and executing data migration plans, ensuring data integrity, and utilizing ETL tools for seamless data transfer. The developer will work closely with external vendors and internal teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues, optimize system performance, and resolve data consistency problems. Regular participation in client meetings, providing technical guidance, and communicating complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders are integral to this role. The developer will also contribute to creating reusable components, frameworks, and best practices to enhance overall productivity and code quality.
