About The Role

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our dynamic team, contributing to the design, development, and maintenance of high-performance healthcare applications. This role involves working on complex business problems, developing APIs, and implementing scalable solutions that support public health initiatives. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our software products, ensuring they are robust, secure, and aligned with industry standards. As part of our team, you will collaborate closely with frontend engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions that improve healthcare services. Qualifications

Proven experience with modern PHP frameworks, particularly Laravel
Strong knowledge of the product development lifecycle
Experience with modern frontend frameworks/libraries such as React
Proficiency in source control tools, especially GitLab
Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases like MySQL
Familiarity with message queues (RabbitMQ) and event-driven architecture
Solid understanding of software design patterns and object-oriented principles
Experience with unit testing frameworks and test automation
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement scalable, high-performance applications and services
Create and maintain APIs and web services to support various functionalities
Work with relational and NoSQL databases to develop efficient data models
Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including testing, deployment, and monitoring
Provide technical leadership by coaching team members and conducting code reviews
Promote best practices in software engineering and contribute to architectural discussions
Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues to ensure system reliability
Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver seamless solutions
Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality
Ensure compliance with company policies related to health & safety, data protection, and information security
