Job Specifications

A Senior Azure Cloud Architect is required on a 12-month contract to design secure, scalable cloud solutions and support delivery across the business. Own high- and low-level designs, act as a technical authority on Azure, and work hands-on with engineering teams to implement Infrastructure as Code.
Key Responsibilities:
Produce secure high-level and low-level Azure solution designs from business requirements.
Engage stakeholders to gather/validate requirements and ensure solutions meet business needs.
Collaborate with engineers to ensure designs are deliverable; recommend new technologies and best practices.
Lead on cloud architecture, ensuring adherence to security, governance and architectural standards.
Engineer solutions using Terraform and Scripting (Bash/Powershell); use Azure DevOps for repos and pipelines.
Support engineering teams to deliver designs and mentor/upskill peers.
Lead projects, provide progress reporting and manage blockers.
Keep abreast of Azure trends and translate into practical improvements.
Must-have Skills & Experience:
Proven architect/lead experience designing Azure solutions in enterprise environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Terraform (IaC) and Bash/Powershell Scripting.
Solid experience with Azure DevOps (repos, pipelines) and CI/CD practices.
Deep knowledge of Azure security, governance, networking, identity (eg, Azure AD), and monitoring.
Stakeholder management and ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
Experience mentoring teams and leading projects to delivery.
Desirable:
Microsoft certifications (eg, Azure Solutions Architect) or equivalent.
Experience with cloud cost optimisation and migration patterns.
This role can be fully remote with 1 to 2 days a month in the office in the City
