Job Title: Eagle Technology Specialist

Location: Vancouver, Toronto or Halifax (Hybrid)

Duration: 6 Months contract with high possibilities of extension

Role Summary:

We are looking for an experienced Eagle Technology Specialist to support critical business and technology initiatives, including batch processing optimization, code migration, and system enhancements. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency within Eagle Investment Systems and aligning business requirements with technical solutions in a hybrid work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Batch Processing Support-

Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize batch jobs in Eagle to ensure data integrity and timely execution
Collaborate with stakeholders to refine batch schedules and improve performance

Code Migration & Enhancement-

Lead code migration initiatives from legacy systems to modern platforms
Develop and maintain scripts, APIs, and automation tools to streamline workflows

Business & Technology Alignment-

Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to translate requirements into solutions
Support system testing, validation, and deployment activities

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing-

Maintain technical documentation and best practices
Provide training and mentorship to junior team members
Contribute to post-implementation reviews and continuous improvements

Required Skills:

Strong expertise in Eagle Investment Systems (L4/L5, v20 preferred)
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Finance (or equivalent experience).
Proficiency in Python, SQL, Java, or similar programming languages
Hands-on experience with batch processing tools (Autosys, Cron, etc.)
Good understanding of financial services domain (asset/wealth management)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams

Preferred Skills:

Experience with code migration projects (e.g., legacy to cloud platforms)
Familiarity with RBC technology ecosystem
