Job Description

We are seeking Junior Systems Integration, Verification, and Validation (SI V&V) Engineering Analysts to support the integration, verification, and qualification of advanced mission and communication systems used in land-based defence environments. In this role, you will work within Agile, multidisciplinary teams on applied systems engineering problems involving system integration, verification and validation activities, automated and manual testing, and lab and field-based test execution in complex operational environments. You will contribute directly to delivered system capabilities across the system development lifecycle, working alongside experienced engineers on real-world solutions.

This posting supports multiple junior SI V&V engineering opportunities beginning May 2026 and is well suited for recent or upcoming Engineering and Applied Science graduates.

In this role you may…

Review system, subsystem, and product requirements, interface control documents, design documents, and use cases to support integration and verification activities.
Develop integration, verification, and validation plans, test cases, procedures, configurations, and expected outcomes in alignment with system and product designs.
Perform firmware, software, and system-level integration and verification testing for new and evolving system capabilities.
Build, configure, and maintain laboratory and field-based test environments, including system setups used to investigate defects or validate new functionality.
Execute formal and informal test procedures; collect, analyze, and interpret test data; and contribute to test reports, defect summaries, and verification evidence.
Identify, investigate, document, and support resolution of integration issues and defects; verify corrective actions.
Develop, generate, and maintain automated or semi-automated test scripts and tools to improve integration and verification efficiency.
Support system qualification, acceptance, customer installation, external validation events, and field trials.
Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and integration teams within Agile and Integrated Product Team environments to deliver integrated system capabilities.
Contribute to requirement-to-test traceability and verification mapping.
Review technical documentation and provide analysis and feedback to support integration and verification activities.
Share technical knowledge, present findings, and contribute to continuous improvement and team learning initiatives.
Build technical capability in system integration, verification, and validation while expanding domain knowledge in mission and communication systems.

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, including root cause analysis.
Ability to understand and reason about complex technical systems and subsystem interactions.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document results and present technical information.
Enthusiastic contributor, willing to learn new skills, and takes ownership of assigned work.
Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Preferred

Exposure to system integration, verification, and validation activities at the system or subsystem level.
Experience developing and executing integration, qualification, or acceptance tests.
Familiarity with requirements, configuration, or test management tools.
Experience working in lab-based environments, including system setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and test execution.
Exposure to communication systems, including radios, voice and data networks, and Internet Protocol (IP)-based systems.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as Ethernet, routing, VLANs, and wireless communications.
Experience with automated test frameworks or scripting tools (e.g., Python, Robot Framework).
Familiarity with troubleshooting, analysis, or simulation tools used in system verification.
