Due to significant expansion there is a superb opportunity for a QA Tester to join a leading consultancy that provides digital solutions in high security environments

The Opportunity

They are looking for a passionate, enthusiastic, and motivated individual to join their growing Team in a QA Test role.

You will be working with both internal development teams and external customers and partners, working on projects that will be a mixture of pure research, to products being developed for a production environment.

Due to the nature of the role you will need to have current SC Clearance

The Role:

Work closely with developers, project managers and technical stakeholders, taking ownership of testing activities both at exploratory and production environment.

Design, write and maintain robust manual and automated test scripts

Work with complex systems and applications

Work collaboratively with development and technical teams to identify, log, prioritise and resolve defects

Analyse requirements and user stories and help provide acceptance criteria

Contribute to test strategy and test planning activities

Maintain accurate test documentation and evidence for audit and compliance purposes

Providing go-live support and post-deployment validation where required

Contribute to the continuous improvement of testing standards, tools and methodologies

Report on test outcomes at the level required for the project.

Test gap analysis and identify scenarios to be tested and/or automated

Ensure quality of products as they move from prototype / proof of concept into Production.

Helping shape and expand Agile working practices

The Person:

Proven experience in a Software Testing / QA role, operating with a high degree of autonomy

Strong hands-on experience with testing across complex systems

You will have excellent knowledge and experience of the following:-

Infrastructure testing
OAT testing (Operation Acceptance Testing)
Network/Security testing
Automation testing
Application testing

Demonstrable experience designing and maintaining comprehensive test documentation

Experience with Agile methodology and exploratory testing

Excellent documentation skills

Strong working knowledge of testing tools and test management software
