Structural Engineer – Suction Anchors (Offshore / Subsea)

Location: Paris, France

Start: ASAP

Duration: Until December 2026

Project type: Offshore EPC – Subsea Structures

We are currently looking for a Structural Engineer to support engineering studies related to suction anchor design and offshore installation structures for a major subsea EPC project.

Responsibilities

The engineer will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Structural modelling within the overall NSO global model

• Detailed finite element modelling using ABAQUS

• Verification of the structure for:

– Lifting

– Transportation

– Installation

– In-place conditions (stress and fatigue)

• Design of structural reinforcements or modifications when required

• Preparation of structural calculation reports summarizing analysis results

• Transfer of engineering data required for the preparation of technical drawings

Required Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Structural Engineer

• Experience working on offshore or subsea engineering projects

• Experience related to suction anchors or subsea structures

• Experience within EPC engineering environments

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of offshore structural analysis

• Experience with finite element modelling (FEA)

• Proficiency in ABAQUS

• Knowledge of offshore engineering standards (DNV, ISO)

• Understanding of subsea installation engineering

Additional Skills

• Ability to work according to project engineering standards and procedures

• Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams

• Strong technical reporting skills

• Ability to read and understand technical documentation in English

Important

This role is specifically focused on offshore structural engineering related to suction anchors and subsea installation structures.

Candidates without experience in offshore structures, subsea engineering or FEA structural analysis will unfortunately not be considered.
