About Independence Pet Holdings

Established in 2021, Independence Pet Holdings (IPH) is a corporate holding company that manages a diverse and broad portfolio of modern pet health brands and services, including insurance, pet education, lost recovery services, and more throughout North America.

We believe pet insurance is more than a financial product, and we build solutions to simplify the pet parenting journey and help improve the well-being of pets. As the world’s largest insurer in the pet category, we operate with a full stack of resources, capital, and services to support pet parents. Our multi-brand and omni-channel approach includes our own insurance carrier, insurance brands, and partner brands.

IPH is an innovator in the pet insurance space and has been working on an industry-leading technology transformation initiative. We believe that our business can be enhanced by the efficient and effective use of data. IPH aims to disrupt the pet insurance space by bringing additional value to pet parents, veterinarians, and insurers through near real-time access to data, broader and more extensive use of data, and by generating actionable insights from this data. Using our new technology infrastructure, coupled with enhanced data access, we intend to streamline the claims process, improve veterinarians’ ability to care for pets, and make pet insurance—and by extension, veterinary medicine—better for pet parents and outcomes better for their pets.
