We are seeking a highly skilled Technology Risk Consultant to join our Operational Risk team, working with a major financial services organisation. This is a pivotal role overseeing technology risk across the full technology lifecycle, ensuring resilient systems, secure data, and strong risk management practices across the enterprise.

Working closely with senior stakeholders—including the COO, Business Units, and partners across the 3LoD - you will provide robust oversight, challenge, and guidance to strengthen technology risk management and support the delivery of the organisation’s technology strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Provide oversight across the technology lifecycle, influencing the design, build, and implementation of new and enhanced systems.
Challenge and support the execution of the organisation’s technology strategy, ensuring alignment with operational risk expectations.
Assess and challenge first line teams on management of the technology estate, including:
System resilience
Data security
Maintenance and implementation of critical platforms
Influence and advise first line leaders to ensure all technology risks are identified, managed, controlled, and appropriately escalated through governance processes.
Evaluate business area compliance with the Enterprise Risk Management Framework (ERMF), covering risk management, controls, policies, and scenario analysis.
Collaborate with partners across the 3LoD to simplify, standardise, and strengthen technology risk practices.

Skills & Experience Required

Strong background in technology risk management, ideally within financial services.
Cybersecurity experience is highly advantageous.
Strong technical understanding across areas such as:
Cloud technologies
Batch processing / PEGA
Networks
Capacity management
SAP Bank ing
Ability to engage, influence, and challenge senior stakeholders across business and technology functions.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills

Contract will be inside IR35. Applicants must be based in the UK.
