As the senior technical leader reporting to the CEO, you will own the engineering strategy for a high-impact team. You will build a multi-modal data platform that integrates genomics, clinical records, and patient-reported outcomes. This player-coach role combines strategic architectural oversight with hands-on execution to deliver product-grade data that powers life-saving clinical trials.

What you will do:
Design and evolve a multi-modal data platform to ingest, standardize, and validate complex datasets including genomics, EMR, and lab results.
Hire, coach, and scale a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of ownership, pragmatic processes, and technical excellence.
Partner with the SVP of Product to align technical roadmaps with commercial goals, ensuring data quality and provenance meet regulatory standards.
The ideal candidate:
Proven experience building production-grade data pipelines and delivering data-powered products in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
Deep expertise in systems design for sensitive data (PII/PHI), focusing on secure-by-default architecture and rigorous operational discipline.
Strong leadership instincts with the ability to navigate ambiguity, make pragmatic technical trade-offs, and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
