Job Specifications

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Informatica ETL Developer to join our team. This role is responsible for designing and delivering ETL frameworks and components within a multi-terabyte Oracle Exadata environment that integrates complex healthcare encounter and enrollment data from various public and private healthcare plans.

Using the Informatica product suite, you will synthesize data to support large-scale management, evaluation, and analysis of healthcare systems. This is a hands-on technical role requiring comprehensive knowledge of:

PowerCenter
Test Data Manager
Master Data Management
Metadata Manager
Data Quality

You will be accountable for sourcing data from healthcare plans, staging, auditing, cleansing, enriching, and loading data into enterprise reporting structures in Oracle.

Primary Responsibilities

Design and develop ETL workflows and mappings using Informatica PowerCenter to load data into enterprise data warehouse reporting structures.
Adhere to Informatica development standards (e.g., no hard coding, use of mapplets, and reusable components).
Build automation plans for manual operational activities to increase system efficiency.
Perform optimization, troubleshooting, and debugging of complex ETL processes.
Develop and execute unit and integration testing to ensure data integrity.
Tune and optimize ETL jobs for maximum performance and throughput; collaborate with data modelers and DBAs for architecture optimization.
Provide development support and conduct code walkthroughs to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.
Enforce secure coding principles and data privacy policies.
Document and maintain operational procedures for ETL workflows and troubleshoot pre-production and production job issues.
Utilize Informatica Data Quality for profiling, validation, and designing implementation processes prior to transformation.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience with Informatica PowerCenter.
5+ years of experience in Oracle & PL/SQL with strong coding and performance tuning skills.
2+ years of experience in scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc.).
2+ years of experience in data analysis.
2+ years of healthcare data experience (Medicaid, Medicare, Exchange).
Experience with data modeling techniques for large-scale data warehouse environments.
Strong understanding of database design principles and performance optimization.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently within a collaborative team.
Experience with Informatica Data Quality and Test Data Manager.

Preferred Qualifications

Deep knowledge of HIPAA regulatory security requirements.
Experience with EDI transactions (834, 837, NCPDP).
Familiarity with modern cloud technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, or AWS.
Advanced Oracle Exadata experience.
