Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on GCP IAM Engineer to implement and operate identity and access controls for secure application onboarding in a regulated enterprise environment. This role focuses on least-privilege access, automation, and audit-ready IAM implementations using Terraform and Python.

Key Responsibilities

Provision and manage GCP IAM roles, policies, bindings, and service accounts across projects
Implement secure onboarding patterns (runtime identity, human access, break-glass access)
Automate IAM provisioning using Terraform and Git-based workflows
Configure authentication and authorization controls aligned with enterprise standards
Support identity integrations, group mappings, and role governance
Troubleshoot complex access issues across cloud, network, and security layers
Produce audit evidence including approvals, logs, and deployment records
Conduct IAM reviews and compliance assessments
Maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

6–9 years of experience in Identity & Access Management
Strong hands-on experience with GCP IAM:
Roles & permissions
Service accounts
Policy inheritance
Cross-project access controls
Experience with Terraform (modules, state management, IaC best practices)
Strong Python scripting skills for automation and validation
Experience with Git / Pull Request workflows
Knowledge of least-privilege and Zero Trust principles
Experience working in regulated or controlled environments
Strong troubleshooting and documentation skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with enterprise identity integrations (SSO, directory services)
Familiarity with audit/compliance requirements
Experience supporting change and release processes
Security-focused mindset

Success Criteria

Applications onboarded securely with minimal rework
Reduction in IAM incidents and access issues
Audit-ready documentation and evidence maintained
Consistent implementation of least-privilege controls
