Hiring: Cloud Network Engineer (Devops Exposure)

Location: Albany, NY

Duration: 36+ Months

Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Experience: 5–7 Years

State Government experience is a huge plus

We are looking for a DevOps Engineer (Level I) to support cloud networking infrastructure and hybrid connectivity solutions for large-scale agency deployments. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud network environments across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities

Design, deploy, and maintain cloud networking infrastructure in AWS, Azure, and GCP
Support hybrid connectivity solutions including site-to-site VPN and ExpressRoute
Manage network virtual appliances such as Arista CloudEOS and Palo Alto PAN-OS
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform
Monitor and analyze network performance using tools like Splunk, Wireshark, Zenoss, Palo Alto Panorama, Arista CloudVision
Collaborate with architecture and security teams to ensure compliance with security standards
Participate in troubleshooting, network monitoring, and capacity planning
Document designs and implementations using Microsoft Visio

Required Skills

3–7 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or Cloud Network Engineer
Strong Microsoft Azure networking expertise including VNets, NSGs, route tables, VNGs, VPN, ExpressRoute, and load balancers
Experience designing and supporting hybrid Azure connectivity
Strong Layer 3 networking knowledge including BGP, VRFs, NAT, routing, and subnetting
Hands-on experience with Palo Alto PAN-OS

Preferred Skills

Terraform and Infrastructure as Code with CI/CD automation
AWS networking including VPC, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and VPN
GCP networking including Cloud Router, CloudVPN, Cloud NAT, and Interconnect
Kubernetes or cloud-native application networking
Experience with monitoring and packet analysis tools
