Role Summary
The Internet of Things (IoT) and Streaming Team is seeking a passionate Software Engineer to contribute to the electric architecture and software for next-generation Software Defined Vehicles. This role focuses on the development and maintenance of high-performance, robust, and scalable distributed systems, specifically within our Cloud Gateway and connected infrastructure. You will be responsible for implementing core services and ensuring system reliability.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and deploy distributed systems and applications with a focus on scalability, reliability, and performance.
Work with event-driven architectures, leveraging technologies like Kafka and Redis to build efficient and fault-tolerant systems.
Implement, monitor, and debug applications, ensuring high availability and low latency.
Develop, deploy, and maintain solutions on cloud platforms, particularly AWS.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and tools.
Continuously improve CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and alerting systems.
Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, including occasional weekends, late nights, and holidays, to resolve critical production issues.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
Proficient in Go (GoLang) Programming, with demonstrated experience building production-grade applications
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Software Engineering principles and Distributed Systems design.
Experience with Redis for caching, session storage, or distributed data structures.
Experience in event-driven architecture and working with message brokers such as Kafka
Experience with Cloud Platforms and familiarity with cloud-native patterns.
Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools (CI/CD) like Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD.
Experience with building high-performance and low-latency systems in large-scale
Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana Labs, or Amazon CloudWatch environments
Understanding of monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana Labs, or Amazon CloudWatch
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Pay Disclosure
Salary Range for California Based Applicants: $116,300 - $145,400 USD.
The posted salary represents the lowest and highest ranges RV Tech reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position. Any posted salary range pertains only to the estimated starting pay for the role. Actual starting pay is based on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, skillset, qualifications, specific competencies, relevant education, and location.
Total Rewards
Total compensation packages for this position include base salary, eligibility for an annual performance bonus, and eligibility for equity.
