Fujitsu is looking for a Senior Python Backend Engineer to design, build, and secure scalable server-side systems that support mission-critical web applications.

Key Responsibilities

Architect and develop server-side components using Python best practices
Design and maintain RESTful APIs for front-end and system integrations
Design, optimize, and secure database schemas and queries
Implement scalable, cloud-ready architectures using containers and orchestration
Improve application performance by identifying and resolving bottlenecks
Apply secure coding standards, authentication, authorization, and encryption
Conduct code reviews and vulnerability assessments
Collaborate within a DevSecOps environment using CI/CD pipelines

Required Skills & Experience

Strong expertise in Python and frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI
Solid experience with RESTful API design
Strong database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch)
Excellent knowledge of ORM, schema design, and query optimization
Hands-on experience with Docker / Podman and Kubernetes
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
Knowledge of secure coding practices and vulnerability scanning tools (OWASP)
Experience with Linux and virtual machine management
Familiarity with Git / SVN and configuration tools such as Ansible
Experience using AI-powered code assistants (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Amazon Q) is a plus
