Overview
At present, we are looking for a number of Intermediate BMS/EMS Engineers to join our rapidly growing Building Controls team. You will be supporting high scale and complex projects designing BMS/EMS systems in sectors like Data Centers, Pharmaceutical, Medical Technologies, Food and many more in the Benelux region.

Based in our Belgium office, the role will involve the ability to work independently with client to understand the individual project requirements then delivering the BMS/EMS system design to a specific standard for the BMS/EMS contractor to develop the installation detail which will be monitored & witnessed for compliance with the design. Travel to client workshops and construction sites will be required.
Responsibilities
Client interface management, to understand project requirements and presentation of design at design stage gates (BOD, IFT, IFC)
Design of control systems across various BMS/EMS platforms to develop the required project documentation; BMS/EMS I/O lists, HVAC and Utility Sequence of Operations documents, Scope of Works, Functional Specifications, Hardware Specifications.
Design BMS/EMS System Architecture & Topography
Instrumentation design, selection and approval
Analysing complex engineering problems and offer effective solutions
Coordinate and collaborate across project disciplines both within the office and outside
BOD BMS/EMS Cost Estimates
BMS/EMS Contractor management. Review & comment on contractor site queries, technical submittals and panel shop drawings/wiring diagrams for compliance against the design intent
Review and approval of panel FAT documents and SAT documents
Witness testing of panel FATs and site SATs when applicable
Attend project, staff, company, design review and group meetings and actively participate in discussions
Able to effectively deal with issues arising throughout the daily cycle and develop solutions to ensure successful resolution
Working with and coaching younger engineers and co-workers
Ability to multitask on various projects and manage your own projects and deliverables.
Adherence to quality standards and attention to detail and accuracy
Innovative view on current engineering practice with the view to improve internal processes
Qualifications
Bachelor or Master Engineering degree (i.e. Mechanical, Building Services, Automation Engineering) with minimum 5 years relevant experience is preferred; or, minimum 5 year apprenticeship program or related College technical diploma with 6 or more years of relevant experience.
Specific Knowledge
Knowledge and strong background in BMS/EMS systems
Experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, data centre, or health-related facility
Experience in a GMP manufacturing facility and Data Centre’s.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills – Dutch and/or French is an advantage.
Good understanding of current good manufacturing practices, 21 CFR Part 11, 210 and 211, and Annex 11
General knowledge of network configuration, computer hardware and software, including automation applications
Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Vision, PowerPoint, etc.)
Working knowledge of Bluebeam/CAD/BIM/REVIT systems
Ability to work well with employees at all levels of the organization
Ability to prioritise own workload
Ability to work to deadlines
Commercially aware
