Lynx Recruitment is supporting a leading organisation within financial services searching for a Data Engineer to design and build scalable, cloud-first data platforms that drive innovation and data-led decision-making.
You will work across the full data life cycle - engineering secure, high-performance pipelines and modern data platforms that enable analytics, AI, and enterprise insights.
Key Responsibilities
Build and optimise ETL/ELT pipelines
Design and manage data warehouses, lakes, and cloud-native platforms
Implement monitoring, governance, security, and regulatory compliance frameworks
Deliver high-quality datasets to analytics and business teams
Support AI and advanced analytics initiatives
Requirements
Degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (minimum 2:1 classification)
Strong SQL & Python
Hands-on ETL/ELT experience (eg, Matillion, Talend, Fivetran, ADF)
Experience with Snowflake (AWS/Azure/GCP beneficial)
Strong data modelling knowledge
Understanding of data governance and security best practices
Ability to translate business needs into scalable solutions
Desirable
Airflow, dbt, Kafka, CI/CD, BI tools, governance platforms, financial services experience.
