Our client is a key player in the European energy sector, dedicated to ensuring sustainable and reliable infrastructure. This role focuses on developing an advanced AI platform for internal communications, leveraging modern agent-based architectures and language models.

Responsibilities

Develop scalable backend services and APIs using modern Python frameworks to support AI-driven functionalities.
Build responsive user interfaces and micro-frontends to facilitate seamless internal agent communications.
Implement complex AI features including Large Language Models (LLM), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and agent-to-agent architectures.
Integrate secure identity management and authentication protocols within the cloud-native infrastructure.
Manage containerized application deployments and automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure high code quality and reliability.
Collaborate within an Agile team to design and refine technical solutions that support the energy transition.

Requirements

You have 8+ years of experience in backend development with Python and FastAPI.
You possess 8+ years of experience in frontend development using React, JavaScript, and CSS.
You bring proven expertise in AI agent creation, LLM, and RAG database development.
You have significant experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and SQLAlchemy.
You're proficient in messaging systems like RabbitMQ and micro-frontend architectures using NX.
You possess hands-on experience with Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelining via Azure DevOps or ArgoCD.
You have a strong understanding of security protocols such as SAML, OAuth, and EntraID.
You're experienced with testing frameworks like Pytest.
You are proactive, accountable, and experienced in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
You are fluent in English with a good level of Dutch and/or French.

Nice to Haves

Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or Copilot.
Familiarity with A2A (Agent-to-Agent) communication frameworks.
Knowledge of Micro-services architecture design patterns.

Offer

Start date: ASAP or early May 2026.
Location: Brussels.
Working model: Hybrid with 2 days onsite per week.
Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers.
