Job Description

Seeking Deskside/Server Support Technicians to assist with a Nutanix migration project

Required Skills -

Deskside support, server, VDI

Job Responsibilities

Job Duties -

- Perform VM migrations from VMware to Nutanix AHV using the Nutanix Move Tool by following predefined runbooks and migration plans

- Perform pre and post migration checks to ensure VM and basic application health

- Monitor migration jobs and identify, troubleshoot, or escalate issues

- Troubleshoot migration issues

- Perform rollback procedures when migrations fail or validation does not pass

- Work closely with senior engineers planning migration waves and executing cutovers

- Document migration results, issues, and lessons learned

- Create Change Requests in ServiceNow

- Work with application owners to answer questions regarding migration process

Job Requirements -

• 3+ years experience in an IT support environment

• Strong Organizational Skills

• Strong Team Mentality

• Strong Annotation Skills

• Strong Problem-Solving Skills

Desired Skills & Experience -

- Server support experience

- Experience with ServiceNow

- IT Certifications are a plus
