Manufacturing Associate – Biotech (Contingent Worker)

Pay Rates

Day Shift (Shift 1): $25.00/hour
Night Shift (Shift 3): $27.50/hour

Please keep pay rates aligned with department standards.

Candidates must be flexible and open to either day or night shift. Preference may be noted, but shift assignment will be confirmed at offer stage.

Shifts & Schedule (3-4-3 rotation)

Upstream:

Day: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Night: 6:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Downstream:

Day: 6:30 AM – 7:30 PM
Night: 6:30 PM – 7:30 AM

Role Purpose

The Manufacturing Associate is responsible for the production of therapeutic proteins (API) in a cGMP environment. Level I associates execute process recipes, follow SOPs, monitor equipment and processes, perform basic laboratory testing, and support routine sanitization of equipment and facility areas. The role requires adherence to cGMP and aseptic techniques under close supervision.

Key Responsibilities

40% – Set up, operate, and monitor production equipment and processes, including CIP/SIP operations. Complete batch records and electronic documentation per GMP/GDP.
20% – Complete qualifications for assigned tasks and maintain individual training plans.
10% – Perform basic lab tasks (pH, conductivity, sampling, basic testing).
10% – Move and transfer raw materials, chemicals, and supplies across production areas.
10% – Perform routine cleaning/sanitization and support 6S programs.
10% – Administrative tasks: shift exchange, meetings, emails, project participation, and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

High School Diploma or GED

Preferred:

Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a science-related discipline
0–3 years of experience; prior manufacturing or cGMP experience preferred
Strong critical thinking, logic, and decision-making skills
Ability to follow detailed procedures and work in a regulated environment
Comfortable working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule

Work Environment

cGMP manufacturing facility
Cleanroom/controlled environment
Use of PPE required
Standing, lifting, and moving materials as part of daily duties
