Job Description
**Job title** NOC Analyst **Role Summary** Monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains enterprise network infrastructure to ensure high availability, security, and performance. Works with network hardware, software, cloud environments, and security tools, while documenting procedures and coordinating with vendors. **Expectations** - Respond to outages and incidents promptly, minimizing downtime. - Maintain system integrity through regular updates, patches, and configuration reviews. - Provide clear, timely reporting on performance, security, and compliance. - Mentor junior staff and support cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** - Continuous monitoring of network performance, security, and capacity using tools such as SolarWinds, Nagios, LiveNX, NetFlow, SNMP, and Wireshark. - Diagnose, resolve, and document incidents involving routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), VPNs, MPLS, AAA, and wireless networks. - Configure, upgrade, and patch networking devices (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Aruba). - Manage cloud networking (AWS, GCP) and SD‑WAN solutions (Palo Alto, Aruba/Silverpeak, Cisco/Viptela). - Create and maintain network diagrams, SOPs, and configuration repositories. - Coordinate with third‑party vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders for issue resolution and capacity planning. - Conduct performance tuning, load balancing, and firewall rule optimization. - Participate in on‑call rotation and event‑driven escalation. **Required Skills** - 2+ years in NOC or network operations for enterprise‑scale environments. - Hands‑on experience with IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, BGP, MPLS, EVPN, and VPN technologies (IPSec, RA, Site‑to‑Site). - Proficiency in SD‑WAN (Palo Alto, Aruba, SilverPeak, Cisco Viptela) and cloud networking (AWS, GCP). - Strong understanding of firewall principles, stateful inspection, NAT, SAML, and AAA (RADIUS, TACACS+). - Competence in network monitoring (SNMP, NetFlow) and analysis tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Wireshark, tcpdump). - Experience with automation and IaC: Terraform, Ansible, Git, JSON/YAML/XML. - Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills. - Effective communication and collaboration capabilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred). - Relevant certifications: CCNP, CCIE, GNS3, Palo Alto NSE, CISSP, or similar (preferable). - Master’s degree is a plus.
