Job Description

We are looking for a talented Technical Implementation Specialist to join our growing global team at Sectigo.

The Technical Implementation Specialist collaborates with some of the best and brightest in the industry to develop and test custom integration solutions for the Sectigo Customers. This is a software developer role requiring a strong background in the cybersecurity space and REST API integrations.

This is a full-time position, working in a hybrid model, and reporting to our Ottawa office at least 3-4 days a week. The target compensation package for this role is between CAD 70,000 and 75,000 per year in the base, subject upon internal equity and years of experience. We may make further adjustments through an approval process if the targeted compensation range needs to be modified based on business needs and market trends.

Here are the core functions, responsibilities, and expectations for this role:

Integrate and develop third-party integrations between Sectigo and third-party applications, develop test strategies to test Sectigo Products with third-party products in the key management areas including Digital certificates, SSH keys, DevOps, Cloud Security, Key Vaults, Container Orchestration Tools, Virtual Environments and HSM.
Closely working with Sectigo Dev, QA and Sales team to develop environments to test integration and end-to-end solutions on Cloud Infrastructures like AWS, Azure and Google Platform.
Developing test automation for Sectigo Products using Python, DevOps or other test automation tools.
Develop custom scripts/tools as part of the integration that are portable to run on different operating systems (Windows, Linux and Mac).
Willing to learn and research security related topics relevant to the integration work.
Additional tasks associated with this position may be assigned in response to company initiatives and business needs.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Development or equivalent technical degree or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 5+ years of proven work experience as a Security Software developer with some quality assurance experience is required.
Knowledge of the IT Security concepts, particularly Digital Certificates, Encryption, Digital Signature, Confidentiality, and Integrity.
Solid hands-on experience working with Cloud Infrastructure technologies like VPN Gateway, Load Balancer, Container Orchestration, Data Storage etc.
Good understanding of Open-source security products like OpenSSL, Open CA, EJBCA etc.
Experience automating using one or more of the following tools: Python, DevOps, Shell, Bash and PowerShell SDKs for AWS and Azure APIs.
Good knowledge of web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services and Service Oriented Architectures), OSI model and application/network protocols.
Experience in Microsoft CA or any PKI based products is considered an asset.
Experience in Sectigo Enterprise Products and Services is considered an asset,
Holding an Industry Standard Certification in security domain is considered an asset. Example: CCSP, Security+.
