Data Scientist (Technical Leadership)
**Role Summary**
Lead data science initiatives across product teams, driving strategy, hypothesis testing, and measurable impact. Own end‑to‑end analytics projects, collaborate with engineering, product, finance, and senior leadership to inform product roadmaps, set success metrics, and translate complex analytical insights into actionable business decisions.
**Expectations**
- Deliver rigorous quantitative analysis, predictive modeling, and causal inference to guide product decisions.
- Own and communicate strategic vision, metrics, and forecasts to cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Influence leadership through clear, data‑driven storytelling and stakeholder alignment.
- Mentor and shape the analytics community while ensuring scalable analytics infrastructure.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Analyze large, complex datasets to solve business problems using statistical and machine learning techniques.
- Design, execute, and interpret experiments (A/B, multivariate, observational) to test hypotheses.
- Forecast outcomes, set goals, and define success metrics for products and programs.
- Partner with Engineering to develop data pipelines, instrumentation, and scalable analytics platforms.
- Align product, finance, and engineering teams around data‑driven priorities and trade‑offs.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to executives, PMs, TPMs, and Finance.
- Lead multidisciplinary projects, coordinating cross‑team analytics workflows.
- Mentor junior analysts and cultivate a world‑class analytics culture.
**Required Skills**
- Advanced proficiency in SQL, Python, and statistical/mathematical software (R, SAS, Matlab).
- Expertise in predictive modeling, machine learning, and causal inference/experimentation.
- Strong quantitative reasoning, operational research, and statistical hypothesis testing.
- Excellent communication: translate technical results into concise, actionable insights.
- Leadership and project management skills; experience guiding analytics teams.
- Ability to synthesize cross‑functional inputs and drive consensus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, or related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 8+ years of senior analytics experience, leading product‑focused data science projects.
- Preference for advanced degrees (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a quantitative discipline (not mandatory).
