Job Title: Associate Distinguished Engineer – Salesforce Architect (Public Sector Solutions)
Role Summary
Lead the design, governance, and delivery of scalable Salesforce solutions for government and public‑sector clients. Focus on aligning with public‑sector compliance standards, integrating with enterprise systems, and enabling citizen‑centric digital portals.
Expectations
* Deliver enterprise‑scale, secure Salesforce architectures that meet federal, state, and regulatory requirements.
* Act as a technical advisor to program managers, product owners, and government stakeholders, guiding solution planning, risk mitigation, and estimation.
* Mentor and enable development teams, promote reusable assets, and drive continuous improvement of Salesforce best practices.
* Demonstrate strong communication skills to translate complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences, including policymaking bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Architecture & Solution Design
* Design end‑to‑end Salesforce architecture using Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, OmniStudio (FlexCards, Integration Procedures, DataRaptors), and Flow.
* Create reference architectures, solution blueprints, and technical design documents aligned with enterprise IT standards and cloud governance.
2. Public‑Sector Domain Expertise
* Architect solutions for case & complaint management, licensing, permits, and inspections; grants management; benefits & eligibility; and citizen services portals.
* Translate legislative and regulatory requirements into technical capabilities, ensuring WCAG accessibility, data privacy, and audit readiness.
3. Platform Leadership
* Define coding standards, design patterns, and best practices for Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flow, and OmniStudio components.
* Optimize platform performance, reduce technical debt, and oversee Experience Cloud portals for citizens, partners, and internal users.
4. Security, Compliance & Governance
* Design security models (role hierarchy, sharing rules, permission sets, data classification) and enforce compliance with FedRAMP, SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA, and relevant federal/state regulations.
* Implement audit logging, encryption, identity management, and secure authentication (SSO, MFA).
5. Integration & Data Architecture
* Architect integrations with ERP, financial systems, IAM, legacy government platforms, document management, and payment gateways.
* Define API strategies (REST/SOAP, Platform Events, MuleSoft) and lead data migration, data quality, and master data management initiatives.
6. Delivery & Stakeholder Collaboration
* Review and approve technical designs and code from implementation teams.
* Provide architectural guidance across multiple projects and programs.
7. Leadership & Enablement
* Mentor developers and technical leads, conduct architecture reviews, design workshops, and contribute to reusable assets and best‑practice repositories.
Required Skills
* Deep expertise in Salesforce Public Sector Solutions, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and OmniStudio.
* Advanced knowledge of Apex, LWC, SOQL, Flow, and declarative automation.
* Strong understanding of Salesforce security model, role hierarchy, sharing rules, permission sets, and data classification.
* Proven experience designing government‑sector solutions (case management, grants management, licensing, citizen portals, benefits eligibility).
* Integration skills: REST/SOAP APIs, Platform Events, middleware (MuleSoft preferred).
* Data modeling and large‑scale data migration experience.
* Strong stakeholder management, communication, and strategic thinking.
* Leadership mindset with hands‑on delivery capability.
Required Education & Certifications
* Salesforce Certified Technical Architect (CTA) – Preferred (Mandatory: Salesforces Public Sector Solutions Accredited Professional, Integration Architecture Designer, Data Architecture & Management Designer, Platform Developer II).
* Minimum 5 years of experience delivering solutions for government or public‑sector clients.
* Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC 2, GDPR/CCPA, and federal/state data protection regulations.
