**Job title:** Network Architect
**Role Summary:**
Design, implement, and secure network architectures that support large‑scale application migration projects across on‑premises data centers and cloud environments. Lead integration discussions, firewall changes, and end‑to‑end connectivity validation to ensure seamless migration and operations.
**Expactations:**
- Design robust network topologies, routing, and segmentation for new and existing application environments.
- Execute firewall rule creation, optimization, and policy migration.
- Validate connectivity and security requirements with application, cloud, and security stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot complex networking issues impacting migrated workloads.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation and comply with security best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. Lead architecture and integration sessions to define connectivity needs for migration projects.
2. Design and implement routing strategies, segmentation models, and IP schemes.
3. Perform firewall configuration changes (rules, NAT, ACLs) and migrate policies.
4. Ensure secure, reliable connectivity between on‑prem, cloud, and third‑party services.
5. Validate network readiness through testing, packet tracing, and path verification pre‑go‑live.
6. Document designs, IP schemas, and migration changes.
7. Apply Zero Trust principles and access controls.
8. Participate in CAB change management for low‑risk network modifications.
9. Troubleshoot performance, latency, DNS, load balancer, and routing issues.
10. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align infrastructure with migration workflows.
**Required Skills:**
- Enterprise network architecture, design, and operations experience.
- Hands‑on with firewalls: Palo Alto, Check Point, Fortinet, Cisco ASA, etc.
- Deep knowledge of routing/switching, VPN, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, segmentation.
- Experience in application migration across data centers and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Proficiency with load balancers, proxies, DNS, DHCP, NAT, IP addressing.
- Ability to produce HLD/LLD diagrams and security architecture documents.
- Strong troubleshooting, communication, and cross‑team collaboration.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, PCNSE, NSE, or cloud networking certs such as AWS/Azure Network.
- Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, PowerShell, Python) is a plus.
