**Job Title** Senior Architect (Cloud) **Role Summary** Lead the design, strategy, and governance of NATO’s cloud capabilities. Drive the adoption of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security and compliance requirements, and enterprise transformation goals. **Expectations** - Deliver a comprehensive cloud strategy and road‑map for NATO. - Own cloud governance, policies, and compliance frameworks. - Facilitate smooth migration of on‑premises assets to secure, cost‑effective cloud environments. - Collaborate with stakeholders across the Alliance to secure buy‑in and support digital transformation initiatives. **Key Responsibilities** - Create and review cloud capability strategy and enterprise‑wide architecture. - Set cloud policies, standards, and practices that sync business, technical, and transformation strategies. - Develop and execute a cloud adoption roadmap aligned with NATO’s objectives. - Lead impact analyses of major ICT design options, including lifecycle, security, and risk assessments. - Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their potential impacts, threats, and opportunities. - Select and manage cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) ensuring security, compliance, performance, and cost‑effectiveness. - Develop and enforce cloud governance policies and procedures in line with regulatory and industry best practices. **Required Skills** - Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (or 10+ years of progressive expertise if without degree). - Minimum 3 years of post‑related experience in leading cloud architecture, services, and road‑maps for large organizations. - Strong understanding of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS concepts and VMware, Kubernetes, containerization fundamentals. - Experience with AWS, Azure, and GCP (services, pricing models, SLAs). - Proven ability in strategic communication, briefing, and stakeholder engagement. - Skilled in impact analysis, risk management, and technology evaluation. - Fluency in English, both written and spoken. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or related field. - Relevant cloud certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect). ---
