Job Description

Job title: IT Shopfloor Technician Role Summary: Provide first‑line technical support on the automotive production floor, troubleshoot plant‑level IT issues, conduct functional and integration tests, maintain workplace endpoints, and facilitate digitalization initiatives and training. Expactations: - Proficiency in English (spoken and written). - Adaptability to fast‑moving production environments. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities: - Serve as the initial point of contact for plant‑level IT problems; gather data, diagnose, provide basic support, and, if needed, eskalate to level‑2 teams. - Handle smart ticketing, liaising with Control Center agents and local IT support. - Prepare and execute functional/integration tests at the plant level. - Install, uninstall, and maintain terminal endpoints across all workstations and machines. - Support integration of equipment with SAP PCo, SAP ME, and databases. - Manage ME user accounts and permissions. - Deliver “smart” training to segment teams, monitor discipline, and sustain high engagement across operator groups. - Standardize and implement group‑wide processes; support digitalization request flows and process definition. - Collaborate with the local Digitalization responsible on general and specific tasks. Required Skills: - IT development or computer network knowledge (Bac+2 equivalent). - Experience in automotive production (preferred). - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting abilities. - Effective communication in English. - Knowledge of digitalization concepts (desirable). - Proficiency with ticketing systems, SAP (PCo, ME), and database environments. - Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving shopfloor technologies. Required Education & Certifications: - Minimum of 2 years of IT development or network technology education (Bac+2). - No specific certifications required, but familiarity with SAP and production‑level IT support is advantageous.
