**Job Title:** Business Strategy Manager
**Role Summary:**
Lead strategic problem‑solving and transformation initiatives for the UK Business Unit (BU). Analyze internal and external data, develop growth and efficiency solutions, and drive execution of the long‑term strategic agenda in partnership with senior leadership and cross‑functional teams.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver data‑driven insights that shape the BU’s commercial priorities.
- Translate complex analyses into clear business proposals for senior stakeholders.
- Manage end‑to‑end strategy projects, ensuring timely delivery, risk mitigation, and measurable outcomes.
- Maintain an external market focus, monitoring consumer, competitive, and macro trends.
- Act as an internal consultant, influencing decisions across the BU and European sector.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Evaluate performance and identify future opportunities using diverse data sources (e.g., Nielsen, Kantar, ONS, internal finance).
- Frame problems, map current state, benchmark internally and externally.
- Design and prioritize growth or productivity solutions with cross‑functional partners; develop roadmaps across time horizons.
- Execute initiatives, coordinate resources, resolve bottlenecks, and track milestones against targets.
- Facilitate governance and portfolio management of BU strategy initiatives (business case, timeline, risks, resources, investment).
- Partner with the UK BU Strategy & Transformation VP and UK GM on time‑sensitive requests.
- Support the BU’s long‑term enterprise strategy to achieve sustainable, profitable growth and end‑to‑end transformation.
- Drive change‑agenda oversight, resource planning, and metric tracking across strategic pillars.
**Required Skills:**
- Advanced analytical and critical‑thinking abilities; proficiency with external data integration.
- Strong strategic problem‑solving and bias for action.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication; ability to influence senior audiences.
- Proven project‑management expertise in matrixed, ambiguous environments; strong prioritization.
- Collaborative team player with agility and flexibility to handle diverse tasks.
- Knowledge of consumer, channel, macroeconomic, and competitive dynamics within the UK FMCG sector.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field (minimum).
- Preferred: MBA or advanced degree in strategy/management.
- Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) or data analytics (e.g., SAS, Tableau) are advantageous but not mandatory.
