Job Description

Job title: Contract Platform Engineer – AWS / Kubernetes / GitHub Actions Role Summary: Seasoned Platform Engineer needed for a 6‑month contract to design, implement, and operate scalable AWS cloud infrastructures. Must leverage Kubernetes, GitOps workflows, and IaC for secure, cost‑efficient solutions, while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Expectations: • Deliver high‑quality, production‑grade cloud architectures within the engagement timeline. • Showcase measurable improvements in performance, reliability, and cost control. • Maintain clear documentation and stakeholder communication throughout the project. Key Responsibilities: - Design, deploy, and optimize AWS cloud solutions (compute, storage, networking). - Build and manage Kubernetes clusters using Helm, ArgoCD, and Kargo. - Implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, integrating GitOps principles. - Author infrastructure as code using Terraform or ARM templates. - Continuously monitor, secure, and troubleshoot infrastructure components. - Collaborate with dev, ops, and business teams to align solutions with business goals. Required Skills: - Proven experience in AWS platform engineering. - Hands‑on Kubernetes expertise (Helm, ArgoCD, Kargo). - GitHub Actions and GitOps workflow proficiency. - Strong knowledge of AWS services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, etc.). - Infrastructure‑as‑code: Terraform or ARM, with version control. - Experience managing VMs, storage, networking, and security in AWS. - Java application deployment skills (Gradle). Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (preferred). - AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional (preferred). ---
