Job title: IT Field Support Engineer
Role Summary: Execute installation, maintenance, and support of network and data‑centre infrastructure across global sites. Serve as first‑line technician, managing vendor coordination, documentation, and the deployment of networking hardware, cabling, and power systems.
Expectations: 3 + years in field, data‑centre or network engineering. Proficient with hardware, structured cabling (Cat5e/6/6A), fiber installation, switches, testing, and UPS systems. Fluent English and French, independently driven, strong communicator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and associated hardware.
- Install structured cabling and optical fibre, including termination and certification.
- Apply and maintain data‑centre procedures, backups, and UPS (Eaton).
- Document setups, create SOPs, and inter‑departmental knowledge transfer.
- Coordinate with vendors, distributors, ISPs, and internal teams (security, AV, Workplace Experience).
- Perform on‑site support at a primary office and travel to secondary DC locations (EU/Dubai).
- Manage SLA compliance for incident resolution and network roll‑outs.
- Provide training and cross‑skill coverage to support staff.
Required Skills:

- Structured cabling, optical fibre, and power‑back‑up systems.
- Switch configuration, testing, and diagnostics.
- Vendor and stakeholder coordination.
- Documentation, SOP creation, and knowledge transfer.
- Bilingual communication (English/French).

Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, or data‑centre certifications) preferred.
