Job Description
**Job Title:** IT Vendor Manager **Role Summary:** Manage and optimize relationships with key IT vendors, oversee contract negotiations and compliance, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement and cost optimization across the vendor ecosystem. **Expectations:** - Serve as primary liaison for vendor issues, mitigating risks. - Align vendor activities with business priorities and IT strategy. - Ensure contract compliance, negotiate favorable terms, and identify consolidation opportunities. - Lead performance reviews, KPI/SLA tracking, and cost‑saving initiatives. - Promote adoption of emerging technologies to enhance agility. **Key Responsibilities:** - Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, IBM, Adobe, ServiceNow. - Develop and maintain a vendor contract management framework; document and track all agreements. - Collaborate with procurement, legal, IT, and business units on negotiations and contract amendments. - Conduct regular vendor performance assessments; implement improvement plans and ROI optimization. - Research market trends and evaluate new vendors/technologies for potential adoption. - Advocate for vendor consolidation and service rationalization where beneficial. **Required Skills:** - Proven vendor management and procurement experience in a fast‑paced, technology‑driven environment. - Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities; data‑driven decision making. - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder‑management skills. - Knowledge of IT service delivery models (cloud, SaaS, PaaS, IaaS). - Familiarity with contract management tools (e.g., Ariba, Coupa) and IT procurement best practices. - Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently and within cross‑functional teams. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field (preferred). - Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Six Sigma, or equivalent (optional but advantageous).
