Job Description
Job Title: Global Director of Business Development Role Summary: Lead global revenue growth in regulated manufacturing sectors (medical devices, diagnostics, drug delivery). Design and execute territory‑specific sales strategies, develop long‑term account plans, and drive profitable expansion across multiple regions while aligning with corporate objectives. Expactations: Deliver new business within 6–12 months; strengthen existing global OEM accounts; maintain margin improvement and pricing discipline; coordinate cross‑functional teams; ensure accurate forecasting and reporting; meet aggressive growth targets while upholding regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and implement territory sales strategy for thermoplastics, LSR, and contract manufacturing. - Build global account plans focused on value creation and long‑term partnership. - Lead in‑person customer visits and negotiations (including extensive travel). - Manage commercial performance: monitor pricing, profitability, payment status; adjust margins and pricing strategies. - Support forecasting, proposal development, and quotation review processes. - Coordinate trade shows, marketing initiatives, and territory‑specific promotional content. - Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines and customer records in CRM. - Report on forecasts, account receivable status, and progress to senior leadership. Required Skills: - Strategic sales planning & execution in custom injection molding / contract manufacturing. - Deep knowledge of medical devices, diagnostics, and drug delivery OEM markets. - Pricing & margin analysis, revenue forecasting, and financial impact assessment. - Strong account management & multi‑priority resource allocation. - Cross‑functional leadership and stakeholder collaboration. - Persuasive communication (written & verbal) with executive audiences. - Advanced CRM and spreadsheet proficiency; experience with Salesforce or equivalent. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree (engineering, business, or related field). - 7–10 years of proven business development success in regulated manufacturing. - Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time, including domestic and international overnight stays.
