Job Description

**Job Title**: Data & Information Security Analyst **Role Summary**: Lead day‑to‑day security operations, incident response, and compliance activities in a regulated environment. Interface between IT and compliance teams to maintain and enhance security posture, including ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials, and NIST frameworks, while driving awareness and policy development across the organization. **Expactations**: - 3+ years of relevant experience (or 5+ years industry experience if no degree) in information security. - Proven expertise in ISO 27001:2022, NIST, UK GDPR, and Cyber Essentials. - Hands‑on use of XDR, EDR, SIEM tools and vulnerability management platforms. - Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills. - Ability to conduct incident investigations, penetration testing, and internal audits. **Key Responsibilities**: - Monitor networks and systems for threats and potential breaches. - Lead incident investigation and response processes. - Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing. - Own ISO 27001 compliance and coordinate internal audits. - Develop and maintain security policies, controls, and procedures. - Deliver security awareness training across the organization. - Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on security initiatives. **Required Skills**: - ISO 27001:2022 implementation and maintenance. - Incident response, threat monitoring, and vulnerability management. - Familiarity with XDR, EDR, SIEM, and related security tools. - Knowledge of NIST, UK GDPR, and Cyber Essentials frameworks. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organizational and stakeholder engagement abilities. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent industry experience). - Security certifications highly desirable: CISSP, CISM, Security+ (or equivalent).
