Job Description
Job Title: Regional Commercial Director Role Summary Lead the commercial strategy and operations across a multi‑city region, managing a team of approximately eight business managers. Execute the company’s distribution policy, drive sales growth, develop client segmentation strategies, negotiate contracts, and ensure performance targets are met. Expectations - Deliver region‑level sales targets and profitability. - Implement and enforce commercial policies consistently across all assigned territories. - Demonstrate strong leadership, coaching, and performance management skills. - Collaborate with senior commercial leadership to align pricing, promotions, and portfolio strategies. - Represent the regional interests in internal and external stakeholder meetings. Key Responsibilities 1. Commercial Strategy Execution - Translate national commercial policy into regional action plans. - Define and monitor client segmentation and account plans. - Maintain customer relationships, drive loyalty, reactivation, and new business acquisition. 2. Contract & Pricing Management - Negotiate commercial contracts, pricing terms, and large‑value projects. - Manage pricing strategy for the region in coordination with senior commercial management. 3. Team Leadership & Development - Coach and develop up to eight business managers; conduct bi‑annual performance reviews. - Ensure accurate reporting via CRM, client databases, and visit logs. - Facilitate regional team meetings and promote cross‑functional collaboration. 4. Performance Reporting & Analysis - Track regional KPIs, provide regular updates to senior management. - Analyze account performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement corrective actions. 5. Stakeholder & Project Representation - Act as the regional liaison on projects delegated by senior leadership. - Represent the company before regional bodies and major national clients. Required Skills - Proven commercial management experience (minimum 5–7 years). - Strong negotiation, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities. - Leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing sales teams. - Competence in CRM systems, data analysis, and reporting. - Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills. - Strategic thinking and ability to translate policy into tactical action. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field (e.g., commerce school diploma). - No specific certifications required, but a focus on commercial strategy or sales management is advantageous.
