Job Description
**Job title**: Junior IT Support Analyst **Role Summary**: First‑line technical support across the UK and internationally, resolving user desktop/laptop issues, configuring workstations, managing remote access, and maintaining IT assets and documentation. **Expactations**: Responsiveness to user requests, accurate issue resolution, proactive asset and backup management, adherence to health & safety and quality standards, continuous improvement of support processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Provide phone, email, and in‑person support for end‑users. - Diagnose and resolve desktop and laptop hardware/software problems, including off‑site repairs. - Build, configure, and test new workstations, laptops, and mobile devices. - Support remote users with mobile connectivity and VPN access. - Set up new starters and conduct leaver procedures. - Maintain and verify backups of laptops, desktops, and personal folders. - Deploy Group Standard Operating Environments via Windows Deployment Server. - Troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and VPN connectivity. - Update and maintain the IT asset register. - Document IT processes and user guides clearly. - Administer and repair mobile communication devices. - Assist IT equipment procurement during staff holidays. - Uphold HSE, environmental, and quality standards; keep workspaces clean and secure. **Required Skills** - 2+ years experience in an IT/helpdesk role with strong customer‑service focus. - Proficiency in PC builds, rebuilds, and configuration. - Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft products and PC hardware setup. - Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills. - Ability to remain calm, detail‑oriented, and self‑motivated under pressure. - Strong time‑management, initiative, and adaptability. **Required Education & Certifications** - Degree in IT or a closely related field. - Microsoft certification (MTA, MCP, or equivalent) is desirable.
