Guidewire Consultant (Technical)
**Role Summary**
Senior technical consultant responsible for end‑to‑end implementation, upgrade, and application support of Guidewire ClaimCenter (v10.x and Cloud) across on‑premise, private cloud, and Guidewire Cloud Platform environments. Drives production stability, defect reduction, and stakeholder alignment while leading distributed L2‑L4 support teams across multiple time zones.
**Expectations**
- Deliver high‑quality ClaimCenter solutions meeting agreed SLAs.
- Maintain 24x7 availability of production and non‑production environments.
- Lead cross‑regional teams, ensuring timely incident resolution and minimized defect inflow.
- Apply Guidewire best practices, SurePath methodology, and architectural standards to all projects.
- Proactively identify systemic issues, perform RCAs, and implement preventive actions.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Lead implementation, upgrade, and AMS engagements for Guidewire ClaimCenter (v10.x & Cloud).
2. Provide deep functional expertise in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance for personal/commercial lines.
3. Coordinate with client stakeholders on delivery, priorities, and service levels.
4. Manage L2/L3/L4 support teams across India, US, UK; resolve production incidents and defects.
5. Maintain near 24x7 production/non‑production availability, exceeding SLAs.
6. Conduct Root Cause Analysis to uncover defect trends and improvement opportunities.
7. Define, socialize, and execute corrective/preventive action plans.
8. Enhance application logging and observability; design centralized monitoring dashboards.
9. Enforce Guidewire best practices, architectural standards, and SurePath methodology.
10. Configure workflows, data models, business rules, entities, PCF, validations, widgets, and integrations.
11. Implement GUnit automation for business rule validation and automated regression testing.
12. Integrate with external systems via REST/SOAP APIs and Guidewire Integration Gateway.
13. Manage batch processes, Messaging Framework, OOTB plugins, and deployment architectures (WMB, WAS, Apache).
14. Apply SDLC with CI/CD controls; conduct defect triage, estimation, and stakeholder communication.
15. Utilize Git, Jira, ServiceNow for project tracking and delivery management.
**Required Skills**
- **Domain**: Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance knowledge, policy/claims/billing lifecycles.
- **Guidewire Expertise**: ClaimCenter (v10.x & Cloud), xCenters, Integration Gateway, GUnit.
- **Configuration**: Workflows, Data Models, Business Rules, PCF, Validations, Widgets, Entity management.
- **Customization & Integration**: REST/SOAP APIs, inter‑/intra‑system integrations.
- **Technical**: Gosu, Core Java, SQL; batch processing, Messaging Framework, OOTB plugins; deployment (WMB, WAS, Apache).
- **Testing**: Unit (GUnit), API, integration, UI regression; automated regression testing.
- **Architecture**: Software architecture and design within Guidewire ecosystem; CI/CD, SDLC.
- **Tools**: Git, Jira, ServiceNow.
- **Soft Skills**: Excellent communication, adaptability, proactive learning, leadership, problem‑solving, stakeholder management.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Guidewire Certified Developer (Mandatory).
- Guidewire ACE certification preferred.
