**Job Title:** Director of Engineering
**Role Summary:**
Lead the end‑to‑end engineering organization for a risk and intelligence platform. Own platform architecture, cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and AI/ML services while mentoring a high‑performing team. Partner with founders, product, and customers to ensure a secure, scalable, and enterprise‑ready SaaS offering.
**Expactations:**
- Drive technical strategy and architecture decisions for the platform’s lifecycle.
- Build, scale, and maintain a low‑latency, multi‑tenant SaaS infrastructure.
- Deliver security‑compliant, CI/CD‑driven development cycles.
- Foster a culture of ownership, continuous learning, and high performance.
- Balance hands‑on engineering delivery with long‑term vision.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Own data ingestion, scoring engine, data stores, APIs, and dashboards.
- Design and implement AI/ML enrichment and scoring pipelines.
- Build microservices, event‑driven pipelines, and automated intelligence workflows.
- Harden cloud infrastructure; enforce security, compliance, and best practices (SOC2, ISO27001, etc.).
- Convert manual intelligence processes into repeatable, automated workflows.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow a small engineering team.
- Translate product and customer requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with product and customer-facing teams.
**Required Skills:**
- 10+ years software engineering, senior or director‑level experience.
- Deep expertise in cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), microservices, distributed systems, and data engineering.
- Strong background in CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (SOC2, ISO27001, CE+, etc.).
- Experience building early‑stage or startup engineering teams.
- Ability to lead AI/ML initiatives and data‑centric product development.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Certified ScrumMaster, or equivalent) are a plus.
