Job title: Senior Infrastructure Architect
Role Summary: Lead the strategic design, implementation, and governance of enterprise infrastructure across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid environments, ensuring secure, scalable, and cost‑effective systems.
Expectations: Deliver enterprise‑level architecture that aligns with business objectives; act as subject matter expert on cloud migration, automation, and resilience; mentor junior staff and influence cross‑functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and maintain enterprise infrastructure architecture across cloud, on‑premise, and hybrid platforms.
- Define, evolve, and enforce infrastructure standards, patterns, and frameworks.
- Develop long‑term roadmaps for data centers, cloud platforms, networking, servers, and storage.
- Collaborate with enterprise architecture, security, operations, and application teams to align infrastructure strategy with business goals.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend performance, resilience, and scalability improvements.
- Lead capacity planning, performance optimization, and disaster recovery planning/testing.
- Provide governance for change management and security compliance.
- Serve as technical authority and product owner for selected infrastructure components.
- Support project delivery via high‑level designs and architecture reviews.
- Promote automation, continuous improvement, and best‑practice documentation.
- Mentor junior architects and engineers.
Required Skills
- Deep understanding of network infrastructure and secure configuration.
- Advanced expertise in IT security and secure operations.
- Proficient in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and hybrid environments.
- Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting (PowerShell, Terraform, etc.).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Defender, 365 Suite, Exchange Online, Teams Admin.
- Experience with networking (VLAN, VPN, routing), firewalls, SD‑WAN, and virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with disaster recovery planning and implementation.
- Proficiency in change and incident management processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work independently under pressure and manage competing priorities.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, CCNP/Cisco Certified, CompTIA Security+.
