Job title: Senior Subcontract Manager
Role Summary:
Lead and manage all subcontract activities for engineered equipment and systems across the full project lifecycle. Responsibilities span bid preparation, supplier selection, contract formation, post-award administration, and performance oversight to ensure on‑time, on‑budget delivery of high‑value, multi‑million-dollar projects.
Expectations:
- Deliver bid processes that meet quality, commercial and technical requirements.
- Maintain contract integrity, compliance, and risk management.
- Forge strong stakeholder relationships and provide clear communication to all project parties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bidder prequalification, RFP development, Q&A, addendums, and clarification meetings.
- Coordinate technical and commercial evaluation, negotiate terms, and present award recommendations.
- Administer post-award contracts: change management, milestone tracking, progress meetings, milestone payment approvals, and supplier claims.
- Expedite data, equipment, and documentation to ensure schedule adherence.
- Maintain procurement governance, quality surveillance, logistics, and materials management oversight.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience managing capital equipment subcontracts in project environments.
- Strong negotiation, contract administration, and procurement process knowledge.
- Ability to track and report on milestones, deliverables, issues, and payments.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Multitasking and problem‑solving capability.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Science, Finance or Law.
- Procurement experience with large/strategic equipment.
- Procurement certification preferred (PMAC, SCMP, P.Log, APICS CPIM, etc.).
- Secure PR or Canadian citizenship and obtain Reliability & Controlled Goods Security Clearance.
