**Job Title:**
Technical Writer – Cybersecurity
**Role Summary:**
Create, maintain, and revise high‑quality documentation for cybersecurity domains, translating complex security concepts into clear, actionable content for technical and non‑technical audiences.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver accurate, compliant documentation that reflects current tools, processes, and threat landscapes.
- Manage version control, ensuring timely updates after security changes or tool upgrades.
- Collaborate effectively with cybersecurity teams and cross‑functional stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Develop and maintain documentation for privileged access management, identity & access management, threat detection & response, forensics & incident handling, and vulnerability management.
- Translate complex security concepts into clear, actionable content for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Create SOPs, runbooks, and compliance documentation aligned with NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, and other relevant standards.
- Document security workflows, architecture diagrams, and system configurations.
- Support PRF documentation and domain/sub‑domain mapping for hiring and onboarding.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to ensure documentation reflects current tools, processes, and threat landscapes.
- Participate in security reviews, audits, and training sessions to gather insights for documentation.
- Maintain version control and ensure timely updates post security changes or tool upgrades.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years of technical writing experience in cybersecurity or IT infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, tools, and frameworks.
- Proficiency with documentation tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Markdown, and MS Word.
- Familiarity with SIEM, PAM, IAM, and endpoint protection platforms.
- Excellent writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple documentation streams concurrently.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, CCA, or related cybersecurity credentials) are a plus but not mandatory.
