Job Title: DevOps Architect Role Summary: Senior DevOps SME leading a 3‑month remote contract to migrate BMC Remedy and OpenText legacy applications from VMware Tanzu (TKGI) to Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP). Responsible for end‑to‑end architecture, design, implementation, and validation of the migration. Expectations: - Deliver a comprehensive migration blueprint and execute it within the contract window. - Modernize stateful storage using Oracle/SQL back‑ends on Kubernetes, ensuring performance, security, and minimal downtime. - Provide clear documentation, knowledge transfer, and final hand‑off to operation teams. Key Responsibilities: - Design architecture for containerizing BMC Remedy and OpenText on NKP. - Define and implement CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and disaster‑recovery processes. - Map application functional dependencies, data flows, and compute/storage requirements. - Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and security hardening. - Mentor and coach team members on Kubernetes best practices. - Produce status reports and risk mitigation plans for stakeholders.
