**Job Title**
Database Administrator
**Role Summary**
Seasoned DBA responsible for designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Microsoft SQL Server (2000‑2022) environments across on‑premises and cloud platforms. Provides database architecture design, replication strategy, BI tool support (SSRS/SSIS), and integration with ERP systems.
**Expectations**
- 10+ years of SQL Server experience, including administration, performance tuning, and disaster recovery.
- Proven proficiency with multiple SQL Server versions (2000, 2008, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2019, 2022).
- Experience with BI and integration tools – SSRS, SSIS, and data replication (Microsoft Replication, CDC, third‑party tools).
- Knowledge of ERP systems (DDI, Prophet21, Dynamics, D365, Great Plains, FACTS, Infor, Synergy).
- Hands‑on familiarity with DB2, Progress, and Microsoft 365.
- Cloud platform experience (Azure, AWS, GCP).
- Ability to produce and maintain database architecture documentation.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design, develop, and maintain database architecture and documentation.
2. Administer SQL Server instances, including configuration, patching, and security.
3. Implement and monitor automatic and manual backup/recovery solutions.
4. Configure and troubleshoot replication (SQL Replication, CDC) and third‑party replication tools.
5. Support and optimize BI workloads: SSRS reports and SSIS packages.
6. Integrate database systems with ERP applications and other enterprise services.
7. Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and capacity planning.
8. Apply Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies to projects.
9. Collaborate with developers, operations, and stakeholders to deliver solutions.

**Required Education & Certifications**

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, Microsoft Certified: SQL Server Database Administrator) preferred but not mandatory.
