Job Title: Senior Finance Consultant Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing management of the financial and accounting infrastructure for a new Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) to achieve IPO readiness. Expectations: • Contract (3‑month), $75‑$80/hr, hybrid schedule. • Work closely with senior finance, legal, tax and external advisors to deliver an IFRS‑compliant reporting system. • Oversee all aspects of entity setup, chart of accounts, monthly close, and financial disclosures within tight timelines. Key Responsibilities - Configure a new REIT entity in Oracle, including institution‑specific parameters. - Design and implement the chart of accounts and related accounting architecture. - Establish posting logic, journal entry rules, and GL mappings for monthly close activities. - Lead full‑cycle monthly close (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) and produce IFRS‑compliant financial statements. - Prepare financial disclosures, working papers, reconciliations, and IFRS reporting for IPO. - Support tax deliverables: schedules, new filings, commodity tax registrations. - Assist with establishment of new banking arrangements and liaison with banks. - Coordinate input/output with Big 4 and other advisory firms supporting the IPO. Required Skills - CPA or equivalent designation preferred. - 5+ years experience establishing and supporting REIT finance and accounting structures. - Deep knowledge of IFRS, especially REIT reporting and disclosure requirements. - Hands‑on Oracle expertise: entity setup, chart of accounts configuration, reporting. - Proven ability to manage full‑cycle monthly close and produce IFRS‑compliant statements. - Excellent cross‑functional collaboration with legal, tax, audit, and banking stakeholders. - Capacity to thrive in fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environments.
