**Job title**
Senior Consultant, Corporate Accounting
**Role Summary**
Interim senior consultant leading month‑end and quarter‑end close, global consolidations, and external financial reporting for a publicly traded company. Works within a multi‑entity, multi‑currency environment applying USGAAP/IFRS, and collaborates with finance, FP&A, tax, and regional accounting teams to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant reporting.
**Expectations**
- Minimum 5‑8 years progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or complex multi‑entity corporate roles.
- CPA designation or international equivalent required.
- Ability to work independently, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, interim contract setting.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead month‑end and quarter‑end close activities; prepare and review complex journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Manage global consolidations across multiple entities and currencies, ensuring USGAAP compliance.
- Compile and review supporting schedules for external financial reporting (quarterly & annual filings, notes & disclosures).
- Produce management reporting packages and variance analysis for senior leadership.
- Resolve accounting issues with regional and functional finance teams, enforcing consistent policy application.
- Account for complex transactions (revenue recognition, foreign currency, inter‑company, leases, investments) under USGAAP.
- Document, maintain, and improve corporate accounting policies and procedures.
- Support internal and external audit requests, including audit workpapers and auditor inquiries.
- Contribute to system/process improvement projects and timely implementation of new reporting requirements.
**Required Skills**
- Strong technical knowledge of USGAAP and IFRS, applied in a public company context.
- Expertise in consolidations, multi‑currency reporting, and global financial close.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (large data sets, robust schedules).
- Experience with mid‑to‑large ERP or consolidation platforms (Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, OneStream, etc.).
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and independent work capability.
- Effective communication and collaboration with cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Prior experience in entertainment, media, technology, or IP/royalty‑based businesses is a plus.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- CPA designation (or international equivalent).
- 5‑8 years progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
